Terms of Service

Hashnag lets creators claim hashtag topics and “ring” them to notify subscribers. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.

Sign-in text messages

Signing in to Hashnag uses a one-time passcode sent by SMS to the phone number you provide. You receive one message per sign-in attempt, only when you request it — Hashnag sends no marketing or recurring texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving messages (this prevents signing in by SMS) or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your account

You’re responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your data.

Handles

A handle is a label, not property. We may reclaim or rename a handle that impersonates a person, brand, or organization, uses someone else’s trademark, or matches an official, system, or place name we need for the service. If that happens, your account and everything in it — topics, subscribers, ring history — stays intact under a temporary handle, and you can choose a new one immediately.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Hashnag to spam, harass, impersonate, or send unlawful content. Subscribers can report and block topics and owners; we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you grant Hashnag the right to store and deliver it to your subscribers — that’s the product working, nothing more.

The service

Hashnag is provided “as is,” without warranties. We may change or discontinue features, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages to the extent the law allows.

Changes

If these terms materially change, we’ll update this page and note the date above.
