Privacy Policy

Hashnag is a notification app: creators claim hashtag topics and “ring” them to subscribers. This policy describes what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Phone number — used solely to sign you in with a one-time code and to identify your account. We never send marketing texts.
- Profile data — the handle, display name, bio, interests, and optional profile photo you choose to provide.
- Push token & timezone — your device’s push notification token (so rings can reach you) and timezone (so quiet hours work).
- Activity — topics you create or subscribe to, rings you send, and read state. This is the product working, not tracking.
What we don’t do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no sale of your data — to anyone, ever.
- No contact upload, no location collection, no analytics profiles of your behavior.
- No SMS other than the sign-in codes you request.
Where your data lives
Data is stored on Amazon Web Services (US East). Push notifications are delivered via Expo’s push service and Apple/Google’s notification systems, which process your push token for delivery.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account removes your account and its data (profile, topics, subscriptions, devices, rings’ authorship) immediately and permanently.
